- As it relates to the data of clinical trial participants, the study Sponsor is the data controller, and we are a processor operating under the direction of the Controller. Data is collected for the direct purpose of arranging travel and/or study-related payments. Only Scout employees that need access to information to provide the services have access to data. Scout retains data only for the duration of the study or as required by law or contractual obligation. We collect name, address, phone number, email address, study appointment dates, participant study ID code, date of birth, tax identification number and payment method information such as bank transfer instructions and PayPal Account name, if applicable. Passport details may be collected to facilitate international travel if necessary. Study ID code and date of birth are not collected in the jurisdictions where this is prohibited. Human resources data is collected in the context of the employment relationship only.
