- Acuant processes personal data for the purposes of Customer Registration, Orders, Information Collection, Use, and Sharing. Registration In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself but it is not required. Orders We request information from you on our order form. In order to purchase a product, you must provide contact information (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (e.g., credit card number, expiration date). This PII is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. Information Collection, Use, and Sharing We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. As a result of the information that you provide to us, we may have information that could be used to identify you such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, etc. This information is referred to as personally identifiable information or “PII”. Since we know that PII is highly sensitive information, we treat it with a high level of security. We will only use your PII to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. Your PII will be used solely by Acuant to process your request. We will neither sell nor rent this information to any third party unless it is necessary to accomplish your request, e.g., processing your credit card purchase or shipping your order to you. How We Use Personal Data: • Communicate with our customers and others as part of our business; • Send our customers important information regarding changes to our policies, other terms and conditions, our GBG Online Services and other administrative information; • Make decisions about whether to provide insurance and assistance services, and other products and services which we offer, and provide such products and services, including claim assessment, processing and settlement; and, where applicable, manage claim disputes; • Assess a customer's eligibility for payment plans, and process their premium and other payments; • Provide improved quality, training and security (for example, with respect to recorded or monitored phone calls to our contact numbers); • Prevent, detect and investigate crime, including fraud and money laundering, and analyze and manage other commercial risks; • Carry out research and analysis, including analysis of our customer base and other individuals whose Personal Data we collect; • Identify our customers to anyone to whom they send messages through any of the GBG Online Services; • Manage our infrastructure and business operations, and comply with internal policies and procedures, including those relating to auditing; finance and accounting; billing and collections; IT systems; data and website hosting; data analytics; business continuity; and records, document and print management; • Resolve complaints, and handle requests for data access or correction; • Comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations (including laws outside our customer's country of residence), such as those relating to anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-terrorism; comply with legal process; and respond to requests from public and governmental authorities (including those outside a customer's country of residence); • Establish and defend legal rights; protect our operations or those of any of our group companies or business partners, our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our group companies; and pursue available remedies or limit our damages.
