Atomic Jolt is a software company that provides products and services to support Universities and Schools. Our products are web applications that are add ons to learning management systems used to support teaching and learning. They provide functionality in the following areas: exams, interactive courseware, content search, polls, discussions, and content management. We gather personal information for two main purposes: marketing/sales and supporting teaching and learning. Marketing and sales. When people visit our marketing websites and request information, we gather their email, name, and organization name. We use that information to send them the information that they request. Teaching and learning applications. To access our products, a teacher or student logs into a learning management system (LMS) and clicks on a link that launches our web application. When they do, the LMS sends us their name and email address. For applications that need it, we store the user's name for the purpose of listing it in places in the web application where it is important to know the name of the user. During the course of using our web application, users enter information related to teaching and learning. In some cases, our products send student grades back to the LMS. Our customers in the EU, use instances of our web application that are running in Amazon AWS data centers in Dublin, Ireland. We do not move any of that data to any other data centers. All user interaction with your systems is done via HTTPS. System Administrators who work for Atomic Jolt access the servers that our products run on using HTTPS or by connecting via SSH.
