Scope
Botdoc securely facilitates the transfer of data across various channels, including business-to-consumer, consumer-to-consumer, and business-to-business transactions. The data being transmitted may range from non-sensitive to highly sensitive categories, such as financial, healthcare, automotive, and educational information. Botdoc ensures the security of all transmitted data through robust end-to-end encryption protocols. Due to this encryption, Botdoc cannot access or view the content of the data being transmitted. The platform enables secure data transportation without requiring users to input PINs, passwords, or logins, and without the need to download accounts, apps, or software. Once the data has been successfully delivered, the encrypted container and all associated data are permanently destroyed. This ensures that data is retained only for the duration of the transfer, which is a very short timeframe. However, transactional history and metadata are preserved indefinitely in an immutable format, allowing Botdoc to serve as a system of record for certain organizations. For users who create a Botdoc account, whether free or paid, the platform collects limited personal information, including client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses. Botdoc may disclose this personal information to third-party service providers and subprocessors that assist in delivering its services, including cloud infrastructure providers, and as required by applicable law or legal process. Additionally, our third-party billing partner collects sensitive information necessary for payment processing, such as credit card details, client names, and billing addresses. Botdoc remains committed to safeguarding all collected data and ensuring it is handled in compliance with industry best practices and applicable regulations.

What GDPR means, and what it does not

"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.

Questions buyers ask

Is Botdoc GDPR compliant?

There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.

How does CertReports verify this?

Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
