- BuildingLink primarily acts as a data processor for residential properties. Our clients (property managers) serve as the data controllers and direct the handling and processing of resident data collected within the BuildingLink platform. BuildingLink, as a processor, acts upon the instructions of our clients in respect of the personal data we handle for them. Acting for our clients, BuildingLink processes personal data of current and past residents related to building access and communication, package delivery, amenity bookings, maintenance requests, and online payments. The purposes for which this personal data is used within our platform are determined by our clients. BuildingLink processes personal data for the purposes of lead generation, marketing and sales, contact management, account management and billing, conducting surveys, processing feedback and complaints, responding to inquiries and support requests, tailoring user preferences, performing analytics and usage analysis, and other business-related processing. BuildingLink also processes data to protect against, identify, and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, enforce our terms of service, manage legal claims, and comply with applicable legal requirements and industry standards. BuildingLink may disclose personal data to third parties for the purposes of providing the services described above. Third parties include, but are not limited to: (1) payment processors for online transactions; (2) email, text message, and communication providers; (3) service providers who assist in delivering our services; and (4) governmental or law enforcement agencies when required by law.
