- FaceTec, Inc. developed FaceTec 3D Face Login software, a security login solution for digital identity management. FaceTec is used for secure digital login in banking/finance, healthcare, transportation, government, identity management, age verification and many other industries that require the highest levels of legitimate user certainty. For the vast majority of our customers, the FaceTec server software resides on the customer's server, whether on premises or in the cloud. Our customer is 100% responsible for collecting, storing and managing their user's personally identifiable information (PII). We refer to this implementation as a "Customer Managed API installation". In rare instances, FaceTec will provide a "FaceTec Managed API" for smaller organizations or for customer development purposes, and may collect a minimum of PII, that usually consists of a user's face biometric, an email, a device id and date/time/location. Additional PII, such as SS#s, addresses, etc. are most always stored on the customer's server. In all implementations the face image is converted to a “FaceMap” that is a binary file, encrypted at 256 bits and saved. FaceTec also gathers human liveness-check data, but it is deleted and only used to verify the user is not a non-human representation, like a mask, mannequin, photo or video. For each login/authentication session new liveness data is gathered and assessed, but is deleted immediately upon the liveness determination (the user is alive or not alive) and never saved. FaceTec never discloses, shares or sells any collected data to any other organization for any purpose whatsoever, except our customer who owns and is ultimately responsible for the data when there is a FaceTec Managed API installation. Our internal network is regularly Black and White-box Pen tested by Praetorian for comprehensive data security.
