- Feathery provides software for companies to create forms that collect user or employee data. As such, collecting data is a core component of our product and is what customers come to Feathery for. The types of data we handle encompass account data (like user's name and contact information), form data (any information users input) and product usage data. We are committed to offering flexibility and control over data storage. Users can choose between storing the data they collect on our secure servers or channeling it directly to their own servers. This choice allows our users to select the option best suited to their privacy preferences and compliance requirements. In cases where data is stored on our servers, we employ stringent security measures to protect information (such as data encryption in our servers). When users prefer to use their own servers, they assume responsibility for the data security, but we still provide the secure means of transferring their form data. We limit third-party data sharing to essential service providers and legal obligations, always prioritizing user privacy and data security in alignment with the Data Privacy Framework. Feathery does not disclose any collected personal information to third parties unless it is explicitly needed for the features that customers agree to. In those scenarios, customers are made aware of any 3rd party data disclosure and they agree to it beforehand. We have DPAs in place for any 3rd party vendor we share data with for our EU customers. For example, we partner with a third-party integration vendor to send collected data to a customer’s business systems (only for certain integrations and customers who opt-in to it). This vendor does not store the data in their systems. We also partner with a 3rd party vendor, Amazon Web Services, for data storage (for users who opt to store data on our servers). Feathery is GDPR, SOC2 and HIPAA compliant. For EU customers under GDPR, we ensure data is only stored in servers within the EU.
