- Scope
- When clients ("nonprofit") want to set up an account and donation page through our donation services, individual representatives of the nonprofit provide us with their name, email address, and other contact information. We use this information to set up a nonprofit account and donation page, process requests from nonprofits, and communicate with nonprofits and provide the Services. When a user ("donor") donates to or promotes a nonprofit's donation page through our Services, we collect the donor's name, email, contact information, donation amounts and dates, and payment information. Donors provide this personal data so we can set up their account, provide the Services, process donations, and communicate about those donations. When a donor makes a donation or sets up a registry through our Services, the donor provides a name, email, donation amounts and dates, the names of nonprofits they donate to or are interested in, payment and credit card information, and any other information they decide to provide us at their option. If a donor makes a donation on someone else’s behalf, they also provide the other person’s email and any other information about that person at their option. We use this data to setup a donor's account, process donations, and communicate with the donor and the person on whom’s behalf the donor made a donation. Our Platform has mechanisms for nonprofits and donors to communicate with us, such as email and chat features. If nonprofits or donors contact us through our Platform, they may provide us with their name and email and any other information they choose. We use the information to contact them and answer their questions. We collect certain information by automated means when a nonprofit or donor visit the Services, some of which may be personal data. The information collected may include usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of users to the Services, pages visited, web browsing histories, social networking activities, and similar data. If gathered, this data is aggregated and may be shared with third parties. In addition to third-party tracking services, we also collect this information through various other means, including “cookies,” “web beacons” and IP addresses. We also may disclose personal data to other third parties as follows: (1) to Stripe, PayPal, or Plaid for donation payment processing; (2) to our affiliates, service providers, and agents for our internal operations (like storage and data backup) and to provide, improve, and market our Services to nonprofits or donors; (3) to perform data analytics; (4) in connection with a sale of all or substantially all of the assets of Give Lively or the merger of Give Lively into another entity or any consolidation, share exchange, combination, reorganization, or like transaction in which Give Lively is not the survivor; (5) for any or all of the following reasons: (i) to comply with a subpoena, legal process, government request or any other legal obligation, (ii) to prevent, investigate, detect, or prosecute criminal offenses or attacks on the technical integrity of our Services, (iii) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, privacy, property, business, or safety of Give Lively, their partners and employees, nonprofits or donors, or the public, and/or (iv) to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request.

What GDPR means, and what it does not
"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.
Read the GDPR guide and browse all vendors with evidenceQuestions buyers ask
Is Give Lively GDPR compliant?
There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.
How does CertReports verify this?
Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
