- Gupshup is a Conversational Engagement Platform that enables businesses to engage with customers across marketing, commerce, and support use-cases via over 30 digital messaging channels including WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, Instagram, and others. Gupshup offers APIs and platform solutions that allow enterprises to automate, scale, and personalize interactions through rich, interactive, and automated conversational experiences. In delivering these services, Gupshup processes personal data such as mobile numbers, email addresses, user IDs, and message content on behalf of its business clients. Personal data is processed for the following purposes: 1. To enable and optimize message delivery across supported communication channels. 2. To maintain, secure, and enhance the functionality, performance, and reliability of the platform. 3. To support clients in executing critical business communications including alerts, transactions, and customer support. Gupshup may share personal data with third-party service providers and subprocessors solely for the purpose of delivering its services. These include messaging channel partners (e.g., Meta/WhatsApp, telecom operators), cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and customer support tools, all bound by contractual obligations to process data only as instructed and in accordance with relevant privacy and security requirements.
