- IST receives data from US bases law firms for the purposes of providing software as a service (SaaS) for eDiscovery data processing. We are not privy to the contents of data provided, however, it is conceivable that EU data of a personal nature could be included in the data provided by US based law offices depending upon the subject matter of the lawsuit. We are seeking Privacy Shield certification to safe guard our organization in the event that EU data could exist in data set provided to us for eDiscovery processing with or without our knowledge and/or consent.
