- Customer names and email addresses are collected for account creation, support, and marketing communications. These data are stored in applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform and Salesforce. 1. Apps privacy policy (https://apps.kaonadn.net/privacypolicy.htm) This applies to applications that we create for our customers. We generally do not collect or store any PII in these applications, except possibly a work email which is used to confirm identity. However, in some cases, we may store end-user personal data on behalf of our customers. In these cases, we act as Data Processor, and our customer acts as the Data Controller; the end-user agrees to our customer's privacy policy, and we have the Standard Contractual Clauses in place with our customer for this purpose. Any PII records are keyed by a pseudonymous ID that our customer knows but we do not. All PII is stored encrypted at rest within our cloud service provider Google Cloud Services, and all data is encrypted in transit. 2. Corporate Website (https://kaon.com/privacy-policy) We have a "contact us" form that website visitors can fill in to learn more about our products and solutions, and to request technical support. People generally enter some identifying information such as name, email address, and employer on this form. We store this data securely within salesforce, and we use it to follow up with customers. This is the extent of PII processing on our corporate website. We also track user behavior in an aggregate, anonymous fashion using google analytics. 3. Lab Design Tool (https://labdesigntool.com/privacy-policy) This is a Software-as-a-Service offering, so registering users may be entering not only personal information like email, name, phone number (for MFA) and employer, but also providing credit card billing account numbers and addresses. All credit card processing is handled through our partner Stripe, and we do not store any of that information ourselves. We do store user email and name, and use that for authentication and within the user experience. In addition, the site contains "forum" and "direct message" features where users can communicate with each other, and we store any messages that they send using those features on our servers, in order to provide that functionality. All this data is stored encrypted at rest within our cloud service provider Google Cloud Services, and all data is encrypted in transit.
