Scope
Kryterion processes personal information from individuals residing in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland in support of certification, credentialing, licensure, and academic admission test program owners ("test sponsors"). Test sponsors require collection of personal data from test takers to assist with registration, scheduling, administration, delivery, and results reporting of taken exams. Kryterion discloses test taker personal information to test sponsors (who owns the data) and may disclose personal information: (a) in response to a subpoena, court order or legal process, to the extent permitted and required by law; (b) to protect a test taker’s security, or the security of other persons, consistent with applicable law; (c) to address actual or suspected fraud or other illegal activities; (d) in connection with a sale, joint venture or other transfer of some or all of the assets of Kryterion, Inc.; and (f) to our Sub-processors such as our authorized testing centers, solely for the purpose of enabling them to perform services on our behalf. A test sponsor may require Kryterion to collect, including, but not limited to, an individual’s first and last name, address, city/state/country, government issued photo ID, email address, and telephone number for the purpose of a test taker’s registration scheduling, administration, delivery, and results reporting of taken exams.

What GDPR means, and what it does not

"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.

Questions buyers ask

Is Kryterion GDPR compliant?

There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.

How does CertReports verify this?

Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
