- As a Data Processor for its business customers, the Looker Platform creates a single, governed location for users to access their data. Looker collects information about all customer and user interactions with the Site and Platform (“Usage Data”) and how the Platform is performing (“Analytics Data”). Usage Data may include information regarding any interaction with the Platform, such as which functionalities are used and the frequency of use (e.g., pages visited, actions taken, queries run, fields added, user accounts, account roles, and connected database types.) Looker’s customers may disable tracking of Usage Data for the Platform. Analytics Data includes information gathered via Looker’s use of a service that validates Licensing status and usage, and which sends data to Looker concerning the performance of the Platform. Additionally: -To respond to requests for information, products, or services, and to provide customer service and support. -To administer Looker User accounts for the Site or Platform, including billing and payment. -To deploy, enable and authenticate access and use of the Site or Platform, and to enable Looker customers and users to communicate, collaborate, and share information with those they designate. -To send technical notices, product release updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages. - To apply information security policies and controls on the Site and Platform, including overall Site and Platform integrity, identity management and and account authentication. -To inform customers and users about Looker products and services, features and functions, supporting tools and product/platform training . -For legal compliance, such as to enforce our legal rights, to comply in good faith with applicable laws, and to protect users of the Site. -For other general business purposes, such as: to provide, operate, maintain, make modifications to and improve the Site and Platform (including but not limited to corporate financial management and reporting, security and technical operations), and for marketing and advertising products/platform/services and related events, product/platform/service enhancement research and development.
