- Magic School is an AI-powered educational platform used by more than 7 million users across over 10,000 schools. The platform provides over 80 purpose-built tools to support educators with instructional planning, content creation, and productivity, as well as more than 50 AI literacy tools designed to help students learn and engage with AI responsibly. Magic School is designed to support district-led implementation of AI within a secure, education-focused environment. AI-generated outputs are intended as assistive tools and are reviewed and used at the discretion of educators. Students access Magic School features under the direction of an educator. Magic School is designed to minimize the collection of student personal data and does not intentionally collect sensitive student information. The platform collects limited personal data necessary to create and manage school and user accounts, including school or institution name, user first and last name, email address, phone number, and physical or billing address. Magic School collects limited student information, such as name, email address, grade level, and school or district affiliation, as well as user-submitted content required to deliver requested services. Additionally, we collect analytics data directly or through third-party analytics tools to measure traffic and usage trends in connection with the services. Analytics information is collected and used in aggregate form and is not reasonably capable of identifying any individual user. Personal data is processed solely for legitimate educational and operational purposes, including providing, maintaining, and securing the service; supporting customer accounts; improving product functionality; preventing misuse; and complying with applicable legal and contractual obligations. Magic School does not sell personal data and does not use personal data to train underlying AI models. Magic School limits disclosure of personal data to vetted and trusted third-party service providers acting as sub-processors for purposes consistent with service delivery, such as cloud hosting, customer support, and payment processing. All such disclosures are governed by contractual obligations requiring appropriate data protection safeguards.
