Scope
o Makersights primarily collects and processes data related to survey respondents' retail product preferences, as well as their basic demographic information. This data is non identifiable unless a client specifies that they want to associate it with an email address that they have already collected in their CRM system. This data is collected to provide our customers with insights as to how their products in pre-production will perform in market. Data is processed using systems developed by Makersights, running on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Mongo Atlas. We use numerical data science approaches to calculate our insights, and maintain a web service to display charts, graphs, text output, and data download synthesized from this data. Anonymized data may be shared with OpenAI, Google, and Tableau for Makersights internal use to improve the quality of these systems and processes. o Processed information collected on our website is stored with the following third parties: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Mongo Atlas. User sessions may be recorded with OpenReplay to aid in debugging issues when they occur. In addition, a subset of anonymized information may be shared with Google, Tableau (Salesforce), and OpenAI to help us debug issues and improve functioning of our app.

What GDPR means, and what it does not

"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.

Questions buyers ask

Is MakerSights GDPR compliant?

There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.

How does CertReports verify this?

Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
