- MetaComet Systems, Inc. provides royalty and rights management software (RoyaltyTracker and AuthorPortal) used by publishers, video game and entertainment companies, life science companies, and other licensors and licensees to administer royalties, rights, and licensing. In reliance on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (including the UK Extension), MetaComet processes business-contact personal data of its customers' authors, rights holders, agents, licensees, and other business contacts — such as names, contact details, and royalty account information — to calculate, report, and administer royalty and licensing arrangements on behalf of its customers. MetaComet acts as a processor/service provider to its customers and does not sell personal data. By design, MetaComet's software does not collect or require tax identification or payment account information as part of its royalty and licensing functions, and MetaComet does not use such data for its own purposes. Customers are responsible for the content they enter into free-text fields. Personal data may be disclosed to sub-processors that support the service, including Amazon Web Services, Heroku/Salesforce, and Mailgun, acting on MetaComet's instructions under written contract.
