- Mytrus, Inc. (?Mytrus,? ?we,? ?us,? or ?our?) does not collect personal information via the Site unless a system user submits personal information to us in connection with using Mytrus websites and mobile applications (collectively, the ?Site?) and online services (?Services?). The Services may collect and store certain personal information from users, including contact information, so we can communicate with users in regard to their use of the Services. At a minimum, we may collect and store a user's first name and last (family) name. If the user creates an account on the Site, we may also collect and store the user's email address, which will serve as the user's account "user name." As may be required for the research in which the user is voluntarily participating that is being carried out by a third party (the "Sponsor"), we may ask for the user to provide additional personal information. Such personal information can include the user's date of birth, residential address, and phone numbers (e.g., home, work, mobile). For Services that obtain the user's consent to participate voluntarily in research, this personal information may also include a digitized image of the user's handwritten signature. Depending on the research study in which the user is participating via the Site, we may collect and store information related to the user's health and medical condition (?Medical Data?) as required for the research in which the user is participating that is being carried out by the Sponsor. The type of Medical Data that we collect will necessarily vary according to the research in which the user is participating. Prior to asking the user to provide his or her Medical Data via the Services, the Sponsor will inform the user in detail regarding the types of data that the user may be asked to provide during his or her participation in the research. We only use Medical Data for the specific purposes described in the privacy authorization that is provided by the Sponsor and to which the user must agree before participating in the research being conducted by the Sponsor. We do not share or use Medical Data for any other reason and we securely destroy all Medical Data after use. We will provide the user's personal information to the Sponsor and partners of the Sponsor who are authorized to receive such information for the purpose of conducting and supporting the research in which the user is participating. We do not provide any of the user's information to other Mytrus employees or to any unaffiliated third parties. We may share some or all of a user's personal information in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition or dissolution transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. In the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, personal information may also be transferred as a business asset. If another company acquires our company, business, or assets, that company will possess the personal information collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your personal information as described in the Mytrus Privacy Policy. Regardless of any choices a user makes regarding his or her personal information, Mytrus may disclose personal information if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (a) in connection with any legal investigation; (b) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on Mytrus; (c) to protect or defend the rights or property of Mytrus or users of the Services; and/or (d) to investigate or assist in preventing any violation or potential violation of the law or this Privacy Policy and in response to lawful requests by public authorities including to meet national security and law enforcement requirements.
