- Purpose: to determine if a customers network or endpoint (laptop/smart phone) has been exploited from a cyber security perspective. We both host in the cloud and deploy on premise sensors that do network traffic analysis -- specifically intrusion detection (IDS), host intrusion detection (HIDS), netflow analytics, active scanning and syslog analysis (SIEM). Companies and users can deploy our endpoint technology or our sensor technology to monitor their networks and endpoints for both cyber security exploits, as well as, security hygiene issues (users running risky software, clicking on phishing messages, going to nefarious websites, running outdated software, sending PII over the internet in clear text etc.). The anomalous event (the issue) and its associated data (network packet or pcap) are sent to our cloud service for additional analysis. This network packet (pcap) may or may not contain personally identifiable information. There is also an option that a customer can choose to NOT send the network packets to our cloud.
