- We design knowledge management portal web applications for our corporate clients and host them in our data centers. The purpose of collecting personal data is to provide individual user accounts and personalization features in our portals for our clients’ authorized users, manage access permissions for individual users, and provide usage statistics to the portal’s business owners. The personal data collected includes first name, last name, email address, and, in some cases, country or phone number. This data is passed to our application from the corporate client’s network via the Identity Provider service used for Single Sign-On. The data is accurate as it is sourced directly from the client’s corporate employee directory. The clients act as Data Controllers, and Northern Light acts as a Data Processor following the directions of the Data Controller. The data is used solely within our organization and is not typically transferred to third parties. We also maintain our corporate website for sales and marketing purposes and collect personal information from the site's visitors through our contact form.
