- Scope
- As a processor on behalf of our customers we receive files containing their clients and prospects names, addresses and telephone numbers. We perform data hygiene and standardization services on those files as well as append corrected or new contact information as a supplement to their existing contact information. Although most files we receive from our customers contain only information about their clients in the United States and Canada, if we do receive contact information for European residents, we resubmit those records to subcontracted data service bureaus operating in Europe who are also operating as processors on behalf. Our subcontractors in Europe clean, standardize and append those records as directed by our customers and return to us the results which we, in turn, provide back to our customers. Information about our client’s customers provided to us by our clients for processing is, in turn, provided only to data processing suppliers under contract with us to provide additional data processing for the data hygiene and verification work we perform for our clients on their customer data. All processing contracts with our data suppliers include data privacy clauses holding our suppliers to the same level of privacy restrictions and controls to which our clients hold us.

What GDPR means, and what it does not
"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.
Read the GDPR guide and browse all vendors with evidenceQuestions buyers ask
Is PacificEast Research GDPR compliant?
There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.
How does CertReports verify this?
Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
