- Scope
- Prerender processes personal data for the following purposes under the Data Privacy Framework: 1. Customer account management Data types: Business contact information (name, email address, company name, job title), account credentials, billing information (processed via Chargebee, not stored directly), subscription plan details, and usage metrics (render counts, cache statistics). Data subjects: Customers and their authorized team members who create accounts on dashboard.prerender.io. Purpose: To provide the Prerender SaaS rendering service, manage subscriptions, process payments, provide customer support, and communicate about service changes. 2. Service delivery (rendering) Data types: Prerender processes only publicly accessible web page URLs and the resulting rendered HTML content. Prerender does not receive, process, or store end-user personal data, cookies, authentication headers, or IP addresses of customers' website visitors. Each rendering occurs in a stateless, isolated browser instance with no data persisted between renderings. Purpose: To generate, cache, and serve pre-rendered HTML snapshots of customers' JavaScript-heavy web pages to search engine crawlers and AI crawlers. 3. Customer support Data types: Name, email address, support ticket content, account identifiers. Data subjects: Customers contacting [email protected] or via the dashboard support widget. Purpose: To resolve technical issues, billing inquiries, and account management requests. 4. Analytics and product improvement Data types: Aggregated, non-personally-identifiable usage metrics (render volumes, cache hit rates, response times, error rates). Request logs stored in ClickHouse include URLs and user-agent strings (which identify bot types, not individuals). Purpose: Billing calculation, dashboard analytics, and service performance optimization.

What GDPR means, and what it does not
"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.
Read the GDPR guide and browse all vendors with evidenceQuestions buyers ask
Is Prerender GDPR compliant?
There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.
How does CertReports verify this?
Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
