- Customer and prospect data Quartix holds customer and prospect data including personal data as below: - Name - Address(es) - Telephone number(s) - Email Address(es) - Role - Linked In URL reference This data is used for the purpose of communicating with customers and prospective customers in relation to inquiries made to us either directly or indirectly through third parties such as partners or comparison sites regarding the services we provide. Customer vehicle Tracking Data We collect data for the purpose of tracking vehicles and communicating with the customer company for whom the vehicle is being tracked. This data includes personal data as below : - Name - Address(es) – home/work/other significant addresses - Telephone number(s) - Email Address(es) - Vehicle Make and Model - Vehicle registration - Vehicle Location data from GPS with date and time from the tracking unit Additional data collected from the tracking unit is : - Vehicle ignition state from the tracking unit - Vehicle speed and, heading - Tracking Unit orientation, signal strength and GPS satellites in view data - Auxiliary input information that is used to monitor the state of something about the vehicle which could be for example whether a door is open, a light is on or the operation of a device attached to the vehicle such as a spreader or crane. Key fob tag readers can be used to identify drivers or indicated private or business mileage where a driver may have one or more tags that they should attach when operating the vehicle. Data is collected by the tracking unit that is installed to the customers vehicle either wired in connected to a power supply and the ignition wire, or plugged in to a vehicle diagnostics port most commonly OBD 2. The unit samples GPS location at between 1 and 10Hz frequency to derive speed, acceleration and heading data, additionally an accelerometer in the unit can provide detailed information in the event of a sharp change of speed. The data is transmitted over the cell phone network to servers where the data is decoded and processed through to the databases. Data that is not from the tracking device is provided and maintained by the customer company that contracts our services. Vehicle location data is processed to determine an address for the location and may also provide driving style and driving time information for the customer company. Services provided by Quartix are as detailed at https://www.quartix.com/product/ including: - Real-Time Vehicle Tracking including display on maps. - Vehicle Trip logs and reports including display on maps. - Timesheet reports including mileage, vehicle speeds, driving time, idle time and time on site. - Driving style data covering acceleration, deceleration and speed in comparison to other vehicles. - Geo-Fencing and Alerts to highlight activity in particular locations. - IFTA Reporting The purpose(s) for processing will be determined by the data controller but typically are for improving safety and efficiency of vehicle use as well as the actual tracking of the vehicle location for business information and to adhere to regulatory requirements. Data is only shared with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing customers including installation of tracking units. All third parties are subject to confidentiality terms. We may also release information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or other’s rights, property, or safety. However, non- personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
