- Scope
- Sectigo Processes personal data to provide clients (or their organization) with the products and services requested and to administer the (or the organization’s) account, including for renewals, billing, and contract management purposes. To do this, Sectigo needs to process contact information like surname, name, email and possibly IP address. In most cases these are corporate or business addresses. This personal data is necessary to provide the client with certificates or other security related products conform industry standards, otherwise these products cannot be delivered. Clients’ personal data will not be processed by third parties. Concerning HR data, if someone applies for an open position at Sectigo, Sectigo processes name, address, phone number and email address of the applicant to contact the applicant and do some background verification. If Sectigo hires an applicant, Sectigo processes the new employees’ name, address, phone number, email address, bank account number and social security number in order to comply with Sectigo’s policies and any applicable state/federal regulations (e.g., paying wages, paying taxes, contacting the employee).

What GDPR means, and what it does not
"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.
Read the GDPR guide and browse all vendors with evidenceQuestions buyers ask
Is Sectigo GDPR compliant?
There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.
How does CertReports verify this?
Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
