- We store and process Genomics Data and Metadata submitted by or on behalf of our customers in order to conduct computational analysis on behalf of those customers. We may access that data in order to provide customer support. Data and Metadata are stored and processed by either Amazon Web Services, a service provided by Amazon Web Services Inc., or Google Cloud Platform, a service provided by Google Inc. We use Payment Information submitted by customers to bill customers for services. Payment Information, and some elements of customer Account Information are stored and processed on our behalf for this purpose by a third-party service provider, Stripe Inc. We may use customer Account Information to contact customers about their use of our Services, for instance to let them know a task has completed, or to otherwise inform the about our Services, for instance by letting them know about changes or improvements to our offerings. We may also aggregate information from user's Account Information in order to better understand use of and interest in our Service. Account Information may be stored on our behalf on the customer?s chosen third-party infrastructure provider, either Amazon Web Services or the Google Cloud Platform. We may use User Activity Information, Account Information and Other User Provided Information to maintain, improve and better understand usage of our Service and otherwise analyze aspects of our business. This information may be stored or processed by third-party service providers on our behalf. If a customer explicitly so chooses, we may Genomic Data submitted by that customer and some elements of his or her Account Information with other users to whom he or she has granted permission to participate in his or her project. The customer's name and institutional affiliation may also be shared automatically with users who have granted him or her project permissions. We also collect HR information to administer payroll and benefits, as well as fulfill any contractual obligations related to employment.
