- Scope
- SweetLabs collects data in order to operate and maintain the services, websites and software that the company produces. Since multiple jurisdictions define private/personal data to different standards, SweetLabs maintains a policy of collecting as little personal information as is necessary to operate. This policy includes breaking links between statistics and identifiable users as well as securing any personal information, regularly scheduled removal of data, strict access control to data, and a "privacy by design" development philosophy. We do not sell, share or otherwise disclose any personal data which we collect with third-parties unless they are engaged in providing the operation, maintenance, or security of our services and the information exchange is necessary to provide required services. In general, the company strives to eliminate all PII from its data collection where the services being consumed by the user does not mandate it. Data that might be considered "personal data" may be collected from users of our software, visitors to our websites, and users seeking technical support from us. The purposes for processing personal data include the following: operation and maintenance of the software, websites, and related online services ("Services"); ensuring the security of our Services; evaluating software and website usage; measuring user engagement, insuring proper function/quality; responding to support requests; generating anonymous and aggregate reports. Third-party service providers who provide services to us and who process information for us include content delivery networks, cloud computing platforms, website hosting and co-location, website analytics, and help desk support services.

What GDPR means, and what it does not
"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.
Read the GDPR guide and browse all vendors with evidenceQuestions buyers ask
Is SweetLabs GDPR compliant?
There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.
How does CertReports verify this?
Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
