Depending on the application, the types of personal data processed may include: General Information Required for the Operation of All Symplicity Applications All Symplicity applications require basic personal information from data subjects to enable login and usage. This includes: • Name • Address • Email • Higher education-specific data, such as major, graduation date, and other basic student information. This data is processed to grant students access to the platform and equip higher education administrators of the apps with the information necessary to perform their responsibilities effectively. Application-Specific Data Categories Application-specific features and functionalities are generally optional and can be configured by higher education institutions, allowing them to determine the data entered into the Symplicity applications, which Symplicity then processes. Higher education institutions typically require Symplicity to process the following data: Symplicity Employability Web and Mobile Apps • Employer profile information • Employer job postings • Student, law student, or alumni resumes and experience details • Career fair registration and attendance information • Information related to internships, work-based learning (WBL), and experiential learning (EL) • Counseling and appointment records Symplicity Accommodation/Adjustment Apps • Basic accommodation/adjustment details • Course schedule information • Test schedules • Counseling and appointment information • Assistive technology inventory Symplicity Judicial, Case, and Case Management Apps Designed for students and staff at colleges and universities, these applications process: • Incident report details • Concern reports • Required training records • Flexible workflows defined by institutions Processing of Other Personal Data and Information Symplicity may use personally identifiable information (PII) to communicate with users regarding their use of the Site and its services, notify them of system or Site changes, or inform them about events that could impact their access to or use of the Site. Additionally, we utilize such information to provide customer and technical support upon user request. Employers can access and leverage various tools, features, and functionalities of the Site, including job postings and reviewing student and alumni resumes and other application materials. To improve the quality and availability of our products and services, Symplicity may analyze data that has been de-identified or aggregated to ensure individuals or entities cannot reasonably be identified. Symplicity may also use the contact information of employers, colleges, and universities for specific purposes, such as recordkeeping, editorial and feedback collection, content improvement, or customizing the content and layout of our Services. Identifiable information—such as names, postal and email addresses, phone numbers, and other PII voluntarily provided—may be used to inform users about updates to our Services or introduce new offerings. Additionally, Symplicity may contact customers for market research purposes or to provide marketing information that we believe will be particularly relevant and beneficial to them.
