- Our company develops and provides to libraries and information centers a service of a library portal, a search engine, library resources catalog and access gateway and a link resolving service. Users have their personal area in which they can manage their preferences, bookmarks, alerts, saved searches etc. Our basic requirement is to have the user first, last name and its email address. However, some organizations are sharing other attributes for their users, such as department, geographical location, business unit etc., both for supporting a differentiated user experience for different groups, and/or for usage analysis and reporting purposes. In addition, users geo location, IP address and such info is logged. All personal data is kept secured and not used for any purpose other than the operation of the service. Third parties that personal data is disclosed to are: 1. Cloud hosting facility - currently Amazon Web Services (AWS) 2. Distributors/Partners that sell our solution and are supporting their customers - such companies support personnel have administrative access and could see their customer information. Our company completes now the full compliance with the GDPR regulation and all functions within our software will be tuned to comply with, including to whom such personal data is disclosed.
