Scope
The purposes for which TranslateLive processes personal data, including the types of personal data and how they are handled, are detailed as follows: • User Profiles and Account Management: TranslateLive processes basic Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for user profiles, which includes names and email addresses for app users and administrators. This minimal PII is stored for administrative and user authentication purposes. • Real-time Communication and Translation: The platform processes audio data for transcription and translation, which constitutes conversational content. It is important to note that this conversational content is explicitly stated as not being stored by TranslateLive; it is only transmitted and processed securely using TLS 1.3 and is deleted immediately after processing. • Reporting and Analytics: TranslateLive stores session-level "CDR" (Call Detail Record) data for reporting purposes, but this data is not identified with specific individuals. • Sensitive Data Handling: While TranslateLive's solution is not designed to store or process Protected Health Information (PHI) or payment card data (PCI), it acknowledges that such data could pass through the system as part of communication. In these instances, any such data is encrypted in transit but is not stored by TranslateLive. • AI Model Processing: TranslateLive's solution leverages Machine Learning (ML) for speech-to-text transcription, language translation/transliteration, and text-to-speech functionalities, but no generative AI is used. Critically, user input data is not used to influence or train their AI models, and sensitive data introduced to the AI model can be removed upon request, as no user data is ever retained for model training. ML training data is kept separate from ML solution data and is rigorously vetted, validated, verified, monitored, and audited, with access limited to staff with an explicit business need.

What GDPR means, and what it does not

"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.

Questions buyers ask

Is TranslateLive GDPR compliant?

There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.

How does CertReports verify this?

Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
