Scope
WriteSea processes non-HR personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF for the purpose of providing, operating, securing, and improving its platform and related services. This includes account administration, customer support, resume and curriculum vitae (“CV”) review, service communications, platform security, service analytics, and legal compliance and other purposes described in the Privacy Notice where consistent with the applicable DPF Principles and individual choices. The updated Privacy Notice controls WriteSea’s public-facing description of DPF-covered processing, and the processing purposes described in this response are intended to summarize, not expand, the purposes stated in the Privacy Notice. DPF-covered non-HR personal data may include key personal data and identifiers, contact information, account and profile information, resume, CV, and job-related information submitted through or in connection with the platform, technical and usage information such as IP addresses, device and browser information, and geolocation information where enabled or otherwise collected in connection with the services. DPF-covered non-HR personal data may be received directly from individuals and, where applicable, from third-party or public/professional sources, service integrations, or platform-related sources used to provide the requested services. WriteSea processes DPF-covered non-HR personal data electronically. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a business need to process the data for the purposes described above. WriteSea uses service providers and other third parties to support platform hosting, technical processing, 2 customer support, analytics, payment processing, resume parsing or matching functionality, communications, security, legal compliance, and ordinary business operations for the limited purposes described above. WriteSea requires third-party processors to process DPF-covered non-HR personal data only for limited and specified purposes and under contractual restrictions consistent with WriteSea’s DPF obligations. WriteSea’s current DPF submission covers DPF-covered non-HR personal data. The relevant processing activity is electronic processing for resume and CV review involving customer data, including key personal data, contact data, IP addresses, and geolocation data. WriteSea retains DPF-covered non-HR personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in its privacy policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

What GDPR means, and what it does not

"GDPR compliant" is a claim, not a certification. The verifiable facts are a public DPA, SCC usage, an EU representative, data residency options and a Data Privacy Framework listing.

Questions buyers ask

Is WriteSea GDPR compliant?

There is no GDPR certification in general use. The verifiable facts are a public data processing agreement, standard contractual clauses, an EU representative and a Data Privacy Framework listing. See the legal artefacts and the DPF row on this page, each with its capture date.

How does CertReports verify this?

Every state carries a capture date, a source and a snapshot link. Registry rows come from the official registry data; vendor statements come from the vendor’s own page or trust centre; nothing is inferred. Vendors can dispute any row and corrections ship within two business days.
