- Barista is the leading virtual agent solution in the market based on conversational AI. Barista comes out of the box with pre-built content, automations and integrations that enable rapid time to value. From a security standpoint, unlike typical, public, marketing websites where cookies are used to track personal information, navigation patterns, trends, etc., Barista is a non-public web application that is used by authorized customers for the specific purpose of assisting their employees and customers with a variety of questions and answers. It supplements functions such as customer help or IT help desk functions. The Barista application does not use cookies or have built-in logic to capture personal information nor is it required by the application. The Espressive Barista service does not require nor is it designed to manage or process sensitive or personal data. Sensitive or personal data may include but is not limited to: Personal Health Information (PHI), cookies, date of birth, financial account information, biometric data or other personal and sensitive information. A unique identifier, selected at the customer’s discretion, and email address for all users of the software are the minimal requirements to use Barista services. Any other information or data may be provided to Barista at the customer’s discretion. A user of the Barista application may elect to provide personal information in the form or context of a question. Barista may process this information to help query knowledge-based articles or other customers’ integrated systems to find the information or to create tickets (e.g., Service Now). However, this personal information is not processed or stored for any other Espressive Barista business reasons. Permanent user data like email, name, department, location and Knowledge based article snippets are stored in Barista and are shown to users when they do a knowledge base search from Barista. All of Espressive's sub processors may be viewed at: https://compliance.espressive.com/subprocessors. Note that most are optional and may be added at the customer's discretion.
